About the class: RASAMAYA BARRE EXPRESS - This 45 minute class is an athletic workout specifically designed to strengthen and lengthen the body. The class is fueled by upbeat music and efficiently flows through each muscle group, creating endurance and stamina through strength training and increased flexibility through stretching. The movements are influenced by classical ballet barre methods, Pilates, yoga, and orthopedic exercises. The class is taught in a group setting, but offers personalized attention through verbal and hands-on corrections. Socks are required for class. Socks are required for class, they may be purchased at the studio for $12. About the teacher: Pam Brockmeier has a passion for keeping her body in motion and challenging herself. She has been a swimmer and a cyclist for many years - swimming competitively in college and coaching century bike rides with the Leukemia Society's Team in Training. However, more than fifteen years of practicing yoga has helped her realize that not every motion must be forward or fast or linear. When Pam discovered AtoZ Method (now Rasamaya) in its first summer, she was thrilled that it both complimented and strengthened her athletic interests, and she was stunned to find muscles she never knew she had! As a teacher at Rasamaya, Pam endeavors to bring out a passion for finding your challenge every day, as well as for finding your relaxation. She is a Rasamaya certified barre and yoga instructor.
