Laid back, terminally sarcastic, New England local since the beginning. I like Latin American things, and Northern European things. I am also partial to all things Viking. I like to write, play music and dance like a fool.

I am a huge fan of latino music, classical, opera, hip-hop, blues and electro. I grew out of rock at some point in the past, but I do enjoy over the top theatric metal. I'm reasonably new to Massachusetts having moved here for work, and I'm looking to meet some new and interesting people. I'm very comfortable with myself and the experiences I've had (so far) in life. I spent the last few years at an attempt to get a web development business off the ground in Las Vegas. Things didn't work out, but it is what it is. No sense being bitter about it. (grumble, grumble) I'd like to eventually try and make it happen, this time in Mass. Otherwise, I worked in radio for 10 years at KOMP, a rock station as their promotions director. That afforded me lots of interesting stories... ask me about the time I was locked in a 5,000 lb block of ice for two days. :)

Other than that, I am working for a marketing company in Newburyport and I am a complete technology whore. If there's something new on the market, I want to know about it and probably am lusting to own one. Especially if it's coming from Apple.

OK, I like winter when we have snow, but not when we have the extreme cold and no snow. Family is very important to me. My name is Dan, I'm a 26 year old electrician with a degree in History and a minor in Biology. I grew up in Massachusetts and have lived here my whole life. Most of my time is spent either getting bit by live wires - one of the not-so-great benefits of working the family business when your family is comprised almost entirely of bastards - or at the gym. I'm currently a college student, studying psychology. I'm interested in almost everything though, from history to sociology to math. I love learning new things. I wrote this before, it sounded fake and crappy, so i'm rewriting it. Less mechanical, more stream-of-consciousness. I didn't lie before, but it was too much like a resume. Too many facts, not enough flavor. Anyway, i'm not a cheery person. That is not to say i'm depressed all the time, but i'm moody. And sometimes I am really depressed, or angry. Some people have claimed I can see the silver-lining in everything, but that's just when i'm trying really hard to not let all the crap that inevitably happens in life to get to me so much.

I'm very sensitive, but can come off as cold and logical until people know me better. I like making jokes about any topic. I hate taboos. I hate secrecy. I take keeping other people's secrets and respecting their privacy very seriously, but I don't like first-degree secrecy. If something needs to be kept so secret from me, you probably shouldn't be doing it. I'll have a hard time holding it against you if you're honest with me, but for fair-warning, i will hold it against you if you can't even be trusted with the people you're supposedly close to, and you cheat or abuse them or take them for granted. That does make me very angry. Or generally anyone who is a cowardly pussy, like animal abusers, child abusers, wife beaters, anyone like that.

I'm constantly caught between the paradox of deeply valuing independence and freedom and wanting people to just fend for themselves and make their own choices for better or worse, and wanting to take care of people and protect them, even from themselves. Sometimes feels like my head is gonna tear it two trying to balance those thoughts.

I could write endlessly here, but i don't feel like it's important. If I said anything hypocritical, that's pretty unavoidable. I think that's true for everyone. Especially if they are being honest. With themselves and others. Especially if you're all over the place and often feel like multiple people all vying for control like I do. Depends on my state of mind. I don't believe in certainties, or in stasis. Things are always changing, evolving, growing, decaying. I don't believe in much of anything really, just possibilities, some more likely than others. I believe honesty is more subjective, than objective. As such, claiming to never lie poses issues for me. Especially when things are always in flux. I try to be extremely honest and thoroughly consider the "real truth" in the moment, but since i don't really believe in absolute truth. I have to decide on words eventually, or i'd never say a damn thing, because my mind would never settle.

I just assume trying to be honest as best I can at the time, will balance out. It's all about balance really. The present and the future. Choices now and choices later. There are limits to the human brain. Everything I say should be prefaced with "I think", rather than as a definite. As it should always be considered that, I don't bother to always say it. Doesn't mean I'm sure of it.

I never really know how to write these things. I am really here just to see what kinds of connections I can make. I have a belief that you can never have too many friends, perhaps I'll find more here, perhaps not.

I generally remain openminded in most things and see this as a way to meet other people and see what I mix well with and what I can learn from them and perhaps what I may pass on to them.

I'm not a republican fan, so if your a republican, politics is not something we should discuss espceially with the current monkey that is running things. My openion but there you have it.

Bad scary movies are my favorite thing in the world. My friends make fun of my movie collection due to the lack of any movies with substance. I like what I like *shrug*.

I'm just very independent. When I start to feel smothered, I run like a bat out of Hell. I'm also very unhappy with the amount of times I've referred to myself.

I like horror, sci-fi, mystery, comedy, thriller for movies. As for music I like to listen to hard rock and metal. Im in college majoring in music (big surprise huh?). When Im not doing anything musical im watching tv, playing video games, hanging out with my friends, or watching a movie. I read a little. Well the only book I can actually sit down and read is Dune that book is awesome!

I'm going to college to be an Addiction Counsoler. I want to work with teens with substance abuse and behavioral problems. Right now I'm interning at a sober house which I really enjoy. I only have a semester left and I can't wait to finally graduate! Besides that I work at a pizza place to pay my bills. Ok, well the first thing everyone should know about me is that I'm a Christian and I try to live each day by serving God in everything I do. I know if it weren't for Him, I wouldn't be here. So anyways, I'm 20 years old and my name is Ashleigh. I don't usually do these type of sites, but after failing at relationships -I figured it couldn't hurt anything. I am a complete perfectionist, and most people get bothered by that after going behind everyone correcting them. I've been in dance class since I was 8 and cheerleading since 2nd grade. Add that to being double jointed, and you'd be amazed at the proportions I can get my body into. Now, I'm an assistant at a dance studio that my old teacher owns. There's so many things I can say in here and I will, but I'd like everyone to know that I have a sister that's 3 years older and she's my best friend. I've had sex once in my life at 17 with a boy that I thought I'd be with a lot longer than I was and I don't regret it, but I wish I would have waited a little longer and maybe our relationship would have been stronger. I don't plan on doing it again until I find someone I love. I know that may turn a lot of guys and if it does, I'm really not sorry. I tend to overthink things so much and in high school I usually went farther in depth on subjects than my teachers ever did. Tennis is a huge passtime for me. I played A Team Girls Doubles with one of my good friends in 10th and 11th grade and Girls Singles my senior year. Once I got to college they didn't play me freshman year and sophomore year I played mixed doubles. And I don't yet know what I'll be playing this year at the big university. Food's good.
